L had a blast at fair too. She can't wait until her Cloverbud Graduation next month so she can get all the cool ribbons next year too.
They both (we all) had soooooooooo much fun.

Hi there,
I will let Cindy know you found a bit Danny likes. I enjoyed the fair pictures -- thanks for sharing them. I want to add more pictures to my page as well, but don't have an easy way of doing it right now. Eventually I'll get some on there of my camping trips and of my boy - Grif.
I showed a lot in 4-H as a child as well. The fair was always the highlight of my summer. we lived right up the road from the Racine Co. fairgrounds when I was younger, so thats where I did most of my showing. There was one year that I had 6 projects going (Horseless horse, rabbits, dogs, Vet Science, drawing, and photography).I was very busy, but it was such a blast! I had friends from other counties that I only got to see during the fair, so I always looked forward to it. I wasn't lucky enough to have my own horse when I was little, so I often had to share a horse with another person (sometimes reluctantly) and show in horseless horse. I think I showed in horseless horse for about 3 years and was on a different horse each year. There was one year I was supposed to show with another gal and the horse belonged to her family. Her mom made her share her horse with me and she wasn't happy about it. She was rather mean to me every time I got a chance to work with the horse -- so finally after about a month of that, I just gave up showing that year and told my mom that I didn't want to do horseless horse anymore. I wanted to wait until I had my own horse to show. I didn't get Griffin until after I was out of college -- but I can recall that that was one of the happiest days of my life. Griffin has given rides to many first time riders. I enjoy sharing him with other people....I think my early experiences made me realize what it's like to not have a horse and really want one. I have a friend with an 8yr old daughter who comes out to ride him all the time. She's horse crazy and just adores Griffin. I'm sure you will really enjoy Danny now that fall is almost here. Fall is my favorite time to ride. The weather is cool and there no bugs!
I love fair time!
My daughter gets to show Jeannie this coming year at our fair. I am so exited.
Thanks for posting all those pictures. I am going to have to show my daughter later on. She'll love them!
