Friday is gonna be so awesome...I can't wait!!!!!

I just got off the phone with Great Lakes Equine.....I get to job shadow all day with one of the vets...(pre-requisite for school)....supposedly he has many different things to do that day............yay me, I so can't wait.........ohhhh lets hope for good weather....I don't exactly wanna be running from farm to farm in the pouring rain (and mud)!

Yippy I'm pumped.....

I get to start my volunteering tonight at Free Spirit Riders in Fondy tonight.....I love playing with horses! Dern it......that means I'm gonna miss my movie....grrrrr.....oh well playing/working with horses is much better than watching them on tv anyways!

Got thrown tonight....

I am gonna be one hurtin' unit tomorrow......I'm already sore. Got tossed off a 3 yr old mare at the trainers tonight! TWICE! She did say it was graceful. I even landed on my feet one time! Ughhhhh.....I need a hot bath like never before! Loping on a barrel horse for an hour is hell on the body! Especially when you can't stay on!!!!

Gee'z guess you could say I got thrown in the dirt in more ways than one today!!!!

5K Run this weekend.....

Yep that's right.......I'm gonna run a 5K......well Chelsea and I are going to run it together. It's for a memorial for Kyle, Chelsea's good friend that recently passed away. I'm pretty proud of myself considering I never before would have even dreamed of running a 5K or any sort of run. Quitting smoking a year and a half ago totally changed my life. One of the best decisions I've ever made! Wish us luck........and hope it doesn't rain.

4-H Horse meeting went well tonight.....

Here we go......this coming weekend kicks off the hectic horse clinic/show/practice for the season. Saturday is the beginner horse show clinic....it's mostly for kids that have never shown before....this I think is very good....horse showing is a pretty difficult thing to just jump into without help or knowing what your doing.....and believe me not too many folks are willing to jump in and help out. Anyway Lindsay and Brooke are going to be doing this clinic because Lindsay is still pretty new to showing and Brooke has never shown before.

The 15th is a barrel racing clinic....now this one I'm not missing for anything.....this is right where I need to be! hehe.......should be fun!

First real show of the year is May 22nd. (this is the show I went in a few years ago with Danny and actually placed.....we were excited) Lindsay will be showing this will be her first show with Star. Ohhhhh here come the mom nerves again.......lol........I know I know they will be fine!

April Fools Day pranks......

Ok.....I've managed to find every nasty looking plastic/rubber bug we've ever owned....grrrrr.....Lindsay is having a good ol time with me tonight.......there was one on my laptop.....on the toilet seat.....she stuck one on my cell phone and then called me.....lol......the darn things are everywhere......I have to admit though I got both my girls good tonight......I pulled the rubber band on the faucet sprayer on both of them......hahaha it was great......of course it ended up a mess cuz my kids just get soaked then jump out of the way and let the water go all over the kitchen instead of turning it off after getting soaked.......lol....goofballs! I sooooo wish I could have got it all on video though....would have been good!

Horse/Tack Auction ~ Horsemanship Clinic ~ Riding

The Auction was fun......no I didn't buy anything....lol.....it was definitely interesting.

Horsemanship Clinic was educational and Lindsay had fun ...... we both learned a few things.

Lindsay rode Star for the first time ever......they did good together....she thought is was pretty strange at first since Star is a gaited horse...she's a TN Walker. She got used it fast though and they were in sync really good for the first time. We had just helped Tammy and Brooke move Star to the new barn yesterday so she was a bit tense being in a new place.

It was a good weekend!
