Movie update...

Space Chimps:

Very good family/kids movie....really funny and cute.

All Roads Lead Home:

Wow really good....I loved it.....a bit of a tear jerker in a few spots but really really good.

Hancock:

This one I wasn't really looking forward to watching...but it turned out to be a really good movie...a lot of action and twists...really made you think.

Wall*e:

This one was ok....not the best Disney movie though.....a bit slow going and boring.....hardly any talking in the movie at all.....cute for kids though.....Lindsay enjoyed it.

Saw V:

This one was good if you like the blood and guts and suspense kind of horror flicks....I don't like them at all (give me nightmares) but anyone that does would like it.....lots of spins sort of hard to keep up with unless your really paying attention and have seen all the others before it.

Well that's it for movie weekend...I'm impressed...normally when we get a bunch of movies they end up going back late and half of them unwatched.

Hoping tomorrow's weather will be just as good as today if not better....I can't wait to get out and play with Danny and ride! I will try not to forget the camera!

No big Superbowl plans here...kids want to do a little party here at home...have some snacks and watch the game...so that's what we will be doing after we get home from the barn.

Havin' a movie weekend...

Just went and rented a bunch of movies.....got some popcorn and a bunch of candy and just hang out all weekend.

Woohoo...feeling a bit better...maybe this won't last forever! :)

Lindsay and I are both feeling better today...of course Linds has been sick since last Monday so she should be getting over it by now....I just started with it yesterday.....we both started antibiotics yesterday too so that's probably why were feeling better....at least were not contagious anymore.....doctor says after 24 of being on antibiotics you are no longer contagious. I really need to get back to work....throwing a wrench in my schedule like this is driving me crazy...can't stand sitting home doing practically nothing.

So they say, the weekend looks like it's actually supposed to be nice.....if it's true I will be riding that's for sure. I've almost forgotten what it even feels like to ride my horse.

I didn't get to the cooking I had planned on doing today, (worked on bills instead....eeeewwwww...getting really sick of robbing Peter to pay Paul, especially since Peter is broke too...hehe...gatta laugh once in a while) so we ended up having homemade pizza, spaghetti with sauce and garlic cheese bread! Quick and easy.

Found another new song I like (haven't uploaded it yet though.....maybe in a few I will) it's called "Could Have Been Mine" by Keith Anderson.....it's pretty cool!

Homemade chicken and rice with dumplings soup...

Mmmm Mmmmm Mmmmmm........It turned out absolutely awesome.....I figured since I planned on making it one of these days and Lindsay and I are sick I would make it....I couldn't believe it...everyone loved it! The house smelled sooooo good....mmmmm.....celery and onions and chicken! I was pretty proud of myself considering my kids normally don't like my 'homemade' cooking....but I love to cook so I make them eat it anyway. Now I'm in the mood to make lasanya or potato dumplings in saurkrout with pork roast...mmmm..mmm.mmm. Depending on whether or not I go in to work tomorrow I just might do some more cooking. I at least want to bake some snickerdoodle cookies, I've been craving them for a while now. Of course it also depends on how I feel!

Feeling yucky...

Poor little Lindsay has been sick for the past week....mostly cold symptoms....well her throat got pretty bad on Monday so I took her into the doctor....they do a strep test that comes back 10 minutes later negative.....ok cool.....not strep just a virus...that's a good thing right....nope couldn't get that lucky....they sent the test in and called this morning to tell us the in-depth test came back positive so she does have strep....well that sucks now it's gonna go all through the family....I woke up this morning to a nasty sore throat and feeling just plain yucky with a low grade temp. so obviously I'm already getting it or have it too....nice huh! Grrrrr I don't like being sick.....I took the day off of work today so hopefully I can sleep some and kick it faster....well I'm going to curl up in bed and hopefully catch a good Lifetime movie.

Hey 'GUESS WHAT' ? ? ?

It's really cold out again! Yeah....Just thought I would share the wonderful news! Grrrrrrrrrrrr I am so wanting summer!!!! Shorts....tank tops.....running around the yard barefoot....swimming pools.....waterparks......jogging.....bike riding.......long walks with the dog.....riding outdoors in a t-shirt....popsicles....cookouts (mmmmmm BBQ chicken on the grill and sliced potatoes with tons of butter and onions...the best meal ever).....campfires......smores......a cold beer and a good book on the front porch.....a nice rain storm.....the smell of lilacs in the air and fresh tomato plants....eating green beans right out of the garden.....Oh I can't wait for summer to get here!!!! Ok, I think cabin fever is starting to set in! hehe Sometimes I wonder why I ever moved back here from Florida.....oh yeah it was the BIG nasty bugs.......heat you can't even breathe in.....sand-spurs in the grass.....salt in the air.......god only knows whats in the ocean...you would be amazed.....(but of course we still swam/surfed in it) Oh to be a 'no fear' teenager again. Oh yeah and there's those wonderful gators too! They were always fun to run into! Well...I think I'm done venting/dreaming now! I feel a little better........but the best part is winter is more than half over already.......yeah....woohoo.......bring on summer!

4H Update....Lindsay Canning Project

Lindsay and I canning the tomatoes we grew in the garden....and there are also pictures of me and the girls picking strawberries that we then turned into strawberry jam later that day. (It turned out really really good...the kids won't let me buy it at the store anymore)

It's Spring.......j/k I wish!!!

Geez you would think it was spring outside today....it was actually really nice......now this weather I can handle.....................although I still would like that hot tub and fireplace!
